Interested in several lines of research, such as Photothermal Techniques. Thermal and optical properties of nanostructured materials and organic and inorganic agents. Environmental toxicology of nanomaterials. Physical and chemical properties of nanostructures. Biosensors Design and application of environmental genosensors. Gene therapy. Synthesis and application of metal nanoparticles and biodegradable polymers as vehicles for therapeutic gene transfer.

 

She has participated in several congresses. For her Bachelor thesis, she obtained a Diploma in Research, with the project: 'Development of a genosensor to detect and quantify Salmonella typhimurium in water', at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Campus Azcapotzalco, and earned a scholarship for Research by the same University. She has published in the Journal of Nanomaterials & Molecular Nanotechnology, Hindawi Journal of nanomaterials, the International Journal of Thermophysics and Nanoscale Research Letters. Frequently participates as a peer reviewer for Nanoscale Research Letters

-  Toxicity and bioaccumulation of nanomaterials in aquatic organisms

- Nanomaterials. Design, synthesis and characterization of physical and chemical properties of nanostructures: metallic nanoparticles, biosynthesis of metal nanoparticles and nanoparticle complexes with polymers.

- Biosensors. Design and application of environmental genosensors for detection of pathogenic microorganisms.

- PHOTOTHERMIC SPECTROSCOPIES
Measurement of thermal and optical properties of nanostructured materials and organic and inorganic agents by photoacoustic and photopyro-electric spectroscopy

- GENE THERAPY
Synthesis of metal nanoparticles and biodegradable polymers for biomedical applications, and their application as therapeutic genes.

She is currently the president for the Mexican Transdisciplinary Association of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology A.C., which primary goal is to bring together professionals, students and entrepreneurs from different areas with a focus on nanoscience and nanotechnology worldwide, seeking transdisciplinarity.

 

She was  the Conference Chair of the International Congress on Transdisciplinary Nanoscience and Nanotechnology held from october 28-31, 2018 in Mexico City, the ICTNN 2018  was created to promote the participation of the academic sector related to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and link with the industry, the public and private sector, as well as transmit the knowledge of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology to society.
